Tim Scully, Chief Executive Officer

Tim is both Chief Executive Officer of stratsec, and Head of Cyber Security for BAE Systems Australia.
Tim is an intelligence and security professional with over 26 years in the field. He has extensive experience building and leading intelligence and security capabilities and teams in the Department of Defence and the Australian and international intelligence communities. He has played key roles in developing government operational responses to intelligence and security challenges, and is a strong contributor to cyber security policy development and thought leadership.
In his most recent role, Tim led the development of the Cyber Security Operations Centre in the Defence Signals Directorate (DSD)

Peter Lilley is an information security professional with over 14 years of experience in the industry and co-founder of stratsec with Doug Stuart. In this time, Peter has provided specialist IT security consultancy services to a diverse range of clients, including leadership on major projects with Australian government agencies and high profile organisations in the Australian financial services and travel sectors.
Peter's expertise includes conduct of enterprise security risk assessments, development of enterprise security strategies and architectures and definition of business and system requirements for design or procurement of security capabilities.

Nick Ellsmore, Head of Business Development
Experience
Nick is one of Australia’s leading experts in information security strategy and governance. He was an Australian delegate to the APEC TEL Security & Prosperity Steering Group at meetings in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Canada, the Philippines, Japan and Chile, advising the forum on emerging IT security threats.
He is a Graduate of the AICD Company Directors’ Course, helped develop AS 8015, the Australian standard for ICT Governance, is a member of the NATA Accreditation Advisory Committee for Software Testing, and a Board member of the Internet Industry Association (IIA).
Nick has been interviewed by print media including the AFR, the Age, the Australian, SMH, CFO Magazine, MIS Magazine, Online Banking Review and Computerworld, ABC and Channel 7 news, the Homepage and Risky Business radio programs, and dozens of Internet news sites.
Nick was founder of SIFT Information Security Services, one of Australia’s leading specialist information security consulting firms, which became a part of stratsec in 2009.

Doug Stuart, Head of Capability Development
Experience
Doug Stuart is a certified information security professional with over 12 years of experience in the industry and co-founder of stratsec with Peter Lilley. He has extensive experience leading and conducting a wide range of consulting engagements including strategy development, policy development, program development, threat and risk assessments, architecture development, and vulnerability assessments.
Doug has extensive experience working with Australian federal government and commercial clients. He has worked on several large-scale consulting engagements within the defence, border security, intelligence, and healthcare sectors.
